TUW 26 Results: Els vs. Presnell

Read Time:3 Minute, 13 Second

The fourth round of The Ultimate Writer Season 5 has officially ended… After TUW 26, it gave us our first two finalists, and a list of content creators still vying for that final spot. We will also be saying goodbye to our next batch of eliminated competitors.

If you don’t already know, The Ultimate Writer is a competition that features 12 of the best combat sports content creators around the world in a competition where views matter. Winners this season are determined weekly and for this fourth round, each contestant’s highest viewed piece of content went head-to-head to determine the week’s winner.

The Scrap staff participating in TUW Season 5 will be competing for the grand prize of $150 and their choice of a WWE or UFC NFT (Non-Fungible Token).

See the results for TUW 26 below…

Joey Els (14,126 views) def. Chris Presnell (4,133 views) via second-round submission.

Chris Presnell really stepped up to the plate this round, but unfortunately it wasn’t enough to beat Joey Els. With the win, Joey secures the first spot in the Season 5 finale. Chris unfortunately will join the loser bracket for the first time and will have to fight for the last spot in our final matchup. We hope that Chris continues to bring forward video content because his Nate video was epic and what the channel needs more of.

Austin Luff (283,241 views) def. Andonis Steffanou (648 views) via first-round TKO.

Austin Luff may have set a new record in TUW with his win over Andonis Steffanou. What’s sad is Andonis joined the competition late, but if he was part of the beginning… He would be a BIG problem for content creators on The Scrap. Not only does he have tons of potential, he had the highest viewed article this week. Does he join the rest of the crew and create video content this next round to get himself into the finale? We sure hope so… As for Austin, he joins Joey as the second finalist who will be competing for our title of The Ultimate Writer.

Katie Vega (3,529 views) def. Lee Brown (43 views) via first-round submission.

It looks like Katie Vega is back to her winning ways, demolishing Lee Brown to claim her spot in the final redemption battle. Her piece on Sasha Banks & Naomi gathered a bunch of views so we hope that her combination of videos and articles continues. As for Lee Brown, we’ll miss him – but he’s officially eliminated from the competition.

Shawn Bitter (106 views) def. Sergio Vicente (43 views) via third-round submission.

Shawn Bitter gets back in the win column! Due to a fun joint piece he and Katie did, it landed him in the final redemption battle to get into the finale. He’s going to have to bring his best though if he wants to win it all. As for Sergio, he is officially eliminated this season. But make sure you tune into The Royal Rundown every week… The show streams live on our YouTube channel on Tuesdays after NXT to talk about the hottest topics in pro wrestling.

Juan Reneo (40 views) def. Dre Parsons (6 views) via third-round TKO.

In a surprising, lackluster of a matchup – our pro wrestling content creators went head-to-head. Juan Reneo ended up coming out with the win against The Royal Rundown’s Dre Parsons. We thought the matchup would be more exciting, but nonetheless, Juan joins four other creators in hopes of getting into the finale.

Be on the lookout for the updated brackets on the upcoming guide to TUW 27 piece. The competition is coming to a close and only our best creators are still in the mix…

Which content creator do you think takes home the title of The Ultimate Writer?
