UFC Rematches we want to see in 2020
There are so many rematches that MMA fans want to see happen in the very near future, but none more than the five on this list. 2019 was a big year for UFC, and 2020 is shaping up to be even bigger with the return of Conor McGregor at UFC 246 to kick off the year.
Use the arrow above to check out the top-5 rematches we want to see happen.

5. Valentina Shevchenko vs. Amanda Nunes
This is the one rematch on this list that nobody is talking about. Now Amanda has defeated Valentina twice, however one was a razor close decision. They last fought in 2016, and both Amanda and Valentina have evolved since then.
These are the two best female fighters in the world right now. Valentina has the skill set to beat Amanda and serve Nunes with her first loss since 2014. Shevchenko has only two losses in the UFC, and both are too Nunes.
Let's see two of the best female fighters on the planet go at it one more time.

4. Colby Covington vs. Kamaru Usman
The Usman-Covington rivalry and their first encounter did a lot of good for Usman as the new champion. It allowed him to be the good guy against the evil Covington, and provided us with one of the best fights of his career.
This fight (depending on who you ask) was extremely close going into the final round. It was a back and forth slug fest, until Kamaru finished Colby in the final minutes of the 5th round.
The rivalry was great for UFC and it is undeniable that their first fight was one of the best of 2019. It was so close, and there is a potential to have another Fight of the Year contender.
I think we need to see this fight one more time in 2020.

3. Max Holloway vs. Alexander Volkanovski
Max Holloway is the greatest featherweight champion in UFC history. He was on an unbelievable run, until it all came to an end at UFC 245.
Holloway lost his title and his featherweight crown to Alexander "The Great," via a decision. Max should get a rematch for a couple reasons.
Firstly, based on his legendary title run alone, he deserves a shot. Also, although Volkanovski out-pointed Max, he could not finish him. This leads fans to believe that Max could make adjustments and think the rematch would be far closer than their first encounter.
"Blessed" deserves a shot at regaining his crown in 2020.

2. Conor McGregor vs. Nate Diaz
This will always be on the list, won't it? I was not going to include this one, but there is one factor that led me to putting it on this list.
Conor made a successful and very dominant return to the Octagon at UFC 246 against Cowboy Cerrone. That fight took place at 170, the same weight division the Nate Diaz fight took place.
Conor wants Jorge, however I think this makes all the sense in the world to do this first. I'm sure Nate wants to fight Masvidal again due to how their first fight ended. Nate deserves to fight Masvidal again, but this fight makes all the sense in the world.
A large majority of the MMA world including Conor's head coach Jon Kavanagh have been wanting this fight since UFC 202. There is no better time to run it back than now, in 2020.

1. Daniel Cormier vs. Stipe Miocic
This is far and away the rematch most want to see this year. DC and Stipe Miocic first met at UFC 226, and Cormier knocked out Miocic early in the first. The two rematched at UFC 241, and a much lighter Stipe got the knockout late in the 4th round.
These are the two best heavyweights in the UFC, both future Hall of Famers. The first two fights were so unique in their own ways, one can not imagine what a third fight would deliver. Stipe deserved his rematch when he lost to DC, and now DC deserves his rematch.
There is no other fight to make for these two at heavyweight that would be anywhere near as big. This is, without a doubt, the most anticipated rematch that could happen in 2020.
