On June 22, the UFC will be debuting what may very well be one of its next big stars.
29-year-old Deron Winn, undefeated prospect and longtime friend of Daniel Cormier. Winn has been training at American Kickboxing Academy, alongside some of the best wrestlers in the MMA world today, such as Cormier and Khabib Nurmagomedov.
Winn is currently 5-0 in MMA. In his last performance, he fought UFC vet Tom Lawlor on the undercard of Liddell vs. Ortiz 3. Winn defeated Lawlor by unanimous decision. It was his first time going to the judges scorecards. His other four professional fights have all been first-round stoppages, all by TKO.
On June 22, Winn is being scheduled to fight UFC middleweight Markus Perez. Perez is 11-2 in his MMA career. In his last fight, he finished Anthony Hernandez by second-round submission.
Expect to see fireworks when Deron Winn finally makes his UFC debut on June 22 in Greenville, South Carolina.
