A strawweight bout has been added to UFC Singapore between rising Chinese contender, Yan Xiaonan, and The Ultimate Fighter 23 alum, Ashley Yoder.

On October 26, UFC will be heading back to Singapore for their fourth event in the country. With the recently announced Ben Askren vs. Demian Maia bout set to headline, the rest of the card keeps on taking shape.

ESPN confirmed on Monday that a strawweight duel between Yan Xiaonan (11-1) and Ashley Yoder (7-4) will take place at the event.

China’s Xiaonan became the first female fighter from her country to compete in the UFC when she debuted in November 2017 at UFC Shanghai and defeated Kailin Curran. Since then, she has gone on to win three more bouts all by way of unanimous decision. Thus giving her a perfect 4-0 record inside the promotion. Her most recent win came at UFC 238 in June when she dispatched of the former Invicta FC champion, Angela Hill.

For Yoder, UFC viewers got their first glimpses of “The Spider Monkey” on season 23 of The Ultimate Fighter where she fought as part of coach Joanna Jedrzejczyk’s team. Yoder would lose the opening round of TUF 23 to current Bellator flyweight standout, Kate Jackson by unanimous decision.

Following TUF, the Indianapolis, Indiana native would head to Invicta and pick up an armbar submission victory over Amber Brown at Invicta 20 before getting a real shot in the UFC. After a rough start with three consecutive losses, Yoder would get back on track as she currently rides a two-fight winning streak.

A win for either woman will put them in a great spot to potentially be placed in the UFC’s stacked 115-pound rankings. An accomplishment that would be new for Yoder. Xiaonan, who hasn’t lost since her third professional bout in 2010, was ranked at No. 15 in the division for a short period of time after her last victory.

Below is the rest of the still-forming UFC Singapore card in October.

  • Welterweight: Demian Maia vs. Ben Askren

  • Heavyweight: Sergei Pavlovich vs. Maurice Greene
