Featherweight Championship
Cameron Graves (C) vs. Carlos Calderon
Fury FC 109 is headlined by an excellent matchup as featherweight champion Cameron Graves (14-7) defends his title against worthy challenger Carlos Calderon (8-3).
Graves, 31, enters Sunday riding the momentum of a four-fight win streak. The lanky featherweight recently captured the Fury FC title with a strong performance against Justice Torres at Fury FC 100. A southpaw with a well-rounded game, he blends takedowns with calculated striking pressure.
Whether it’s his punishing low kicks or heavy straight punches, Graves remains a constant threat. Fury FC 109 will mark his twentieth fight with the promotion, where he currently holds a 13-6 record.
Calderon, 29, is more than capable of dethroning the champion. He enters on a two-fight win streak in the Fury FC cage, bouncing back from a tough submission loss on Dana White’s Contender Series in October 2024. Known for his finishing instincts, he has secured six stoppage victories and rarely leaves the outcome to the judges.
The talented grappler makes his sixth walk to the Fury FC cage with a promotional record of 4-0-1. In his most recent outing, Calderon edged out Jesse Butler by narrow split decision in July.
Prediction: Cameron Graves via Decision
