Claudio Castagnoli is officially All Elite
Claudio Castagnoli, aka Cesaro, made his debut in the AEW & NJPW produced PPV, Forbidden Door. Castagnoli has been one of the wrestlers most AEW fans wanted to see in the promotion, and last night their dream came true.
Castagnoli has been a free agent since February 2022. The speculation regarding his AEW debut was considered a matter of time. Claudio Castagnoli is in fact now All Elite and there’s plenty of interesting things AEW could do with him.
He is in fact the latest member of the Blackpool Combat Club, joining the likes of William Regal, Bryan Danielson, Wheeler Yuta and Jon Moxley. This is a great fit for him, especially considering the main gimmick of this group is technical wrestling. Another positive for him is the fact William Regal, a great talker, will take care of the promo department and allow Castagnoli do his thing—wrestle.
Castagnoli joining AEW is the best for him, not only in terms of money, but for his career. A fresh start is just what he needed after his WWE run came to an end. In WWE, Castagnoli was typecast as a solid hand that would never get to the main event part of the card. AEW will allow Castagnoli to wrestle as he likes and not have to worry about what new gimmick he needs to impress the booker.
It can go without saying, but Claudio Castagnoli is another great addition to the AEW roster. Especially considering a good portion of the roster is out due to injuries…
