IMPACT Rebellion Predictions

Read Time:4 Minute, 10 Second

This Sunday, IMPACT Wrestling will put on their latest pay-per-view in Toronto, called Rebellion. I’m genuinely looking forward to this show, because all the matches have potential to be extremely entertaining. IMPACT has flown under the wrestling radar for years, but has some fantastic talent and genuinely put on very good matches on a consistent basis.

Check out the IMPACT Rebellion staff predictions.

Tessa Blanchard vs Gail Kim

When Gail Kim “retired” at Bound for Glory in 2017, I don’t think anyone really expected her to stay away, and two years later she is returning to the ring to take on Tessa Blanchard. This is another feud that has been built as very personal and is a very intriguing match up. I think Tessa is legitimately one of the best in the world and I think it is only a matter of time before she makes her way to NXT. While Gail Kim is certainly a legend of IMPACT’s Knockout division, there is no way she beats Tessa here. Tessa is the next big thing in women’s wrestling and IMPACT is extremely lucky to have her. This is probably the most definite result on the card, as there is no logical reason why Gail Kim should beat Tessa here.

Tessa Blanchard def. Gail Kim.

X Division Championship: Rich Swann (C) vs Sami Callihan

This is probably one of the best feuds on the card and these two have been going at it on IMPACT TV since January. Callihan has tried to recruit Swann into oVe but obviously it was to no avail. This has the potential to be the best match on the card and people have seem to have forgotten since he left WWE, how good Rich Swann really is. I expect this to be a very dramatic match and I’m honestly torn on who will win this match. The story of Swann getting a win over Sami makes a lot of sense, and Callihan loses a lot of big feuds. I am picking Swann to retain but I wouldn’t put any money on it because either man could realistically win. Regardless of the winner I am really looking forward to this match, both men are absolutely amazing in the ring and will no doubt put on a barn burner!

Rich Swann def. Sami Callihan.

IMPACT Tag Team Championship: Pentagon Jr. & Fenix (C) vs LAX

This is my most anticipated match of the card, I can not wait for it. These are two of the best tag teams in the world and they already have classic matches in the past. In a normal tag team match, this would be the best match on the card and a possible MOTY candidate. However, when you add the fact that it is Full Metal Mayhem, this is going to be chaotic, death-defying, and scary. These two teams are willing to absolutely kill each other to put on a good match, and when you add in all the weapons, this is going to be absolutely insane from start to finish. I’m not sure who to go with for this match if I’m honest, because I love both of these teams. However I think LAX will win the belts back.

LAX def. Pentagon Jr. & Fenix.

IMPACT Knockouts Championship: Taya Valkyrie (C) vs Jordynne Grace

Taya Valkyrie is one half of the power couple with her husband Johnny Impact being the promotion’s World Champion. She will defend her title against new-comer, Jordynne Grace. I think this match like basically every other on the card, could go either way, but I think Taya will retain. While I think IMPACT really likes Grace and this certainly won’t be her last shot at the gold, it’s super early in her reign so I imagine Taya retains.

Taya Valkyrie def. Jordynne Grace.

IMPACT World Championship: Johnny Impact (C) vs Brian Cage

Then in our main event, Johnny Impact will defend his IMPACT Championship against one of the best athletes in the world, Brian Cage. The story of this feud has been going since IMPACT: Homecoming in January and has been fantastic. While this is the main event many people seem to be sleeping, I think it will be fantastic with Lance Storm as special guest referee. This is another one of those matches that could realistically go either way, but I think this is all building up to Cage winning his first IMPACT World Championship. Cage has been put through many obstacles on his journey, which leads me to believe he will win. Closing the show and sending the fans home happy with Cage finally getting his revenge on Johnny seems like the most logical conclusion to Rebellion.

Brian Cage def. Johnny Impact.

If you’re looking for some wrestling to watch on Sunday night, I urge you to check out this PPV on Fite TV.
