Michael Angove previews UFC 305: Du Plessis vs. Adesanya
City Kickboxing Coach, Michael Angove, helped breakdown the UFC 305 headliner. Michael is also a former UFC Performance Institute striking coach, former kickboxing champion, and a fight commentator. He works alongside one of the top coaches in all of MMA, Eugene Bareman. In his time at the well-renowned gym, he has trained closely with Israel Adesanya, thus providing us with some great insight ahead of August 17th.
Dricus Du Plesis defends his UFC middleweight championship against Israel Adesanya in a fight that has stolen all the headlines. These two world-class athletes share a genuine disdain for one another in a feud that involves the continent of Africa. Du Plessis feels he is the first legitimate African UFC champion, while Adesanya feels he is causing an unnecessary divide. Unlike other sports, the beauty of MMA is that we will actually have a chance to see these guys settle their differences in a physical manner. It’s a great matchup between perhaps the two best middleweights on the planet.
We see Coach Michael Angove use his coaching and commentary experience to give us a great tactical analysis of this matchup. We discuss the heated feud between Izzy and DDP, how the fight will play out, and much more.
UFC 305 goes down on August 17th at the RAC Arena in Perth, Australia. The current betting line has former champ Israel Adesanya as the slight -140 favorite. But, who wins?
