Card Preview & Predictions for NXT Vengeance Day
NXT Vengance Day is shaping up to be a must-watch event. Below, we break down each matchup, provide our predictions, and highlight the key storylines ahead of the big night:

NXT Championship: Joe Hendry (c) vs. Ricky Saints
The evolution of this matchup is honestly wild to think about. Two years ago, Joe Hendry and Ricky Saints were in completely different positions in their careers with other companies. Now, they’re clashing over the NXT Championship at Vengeance Day. That alone speaks to how much of a new era this is for WWE’s NXT brand — and honestly, I love to see it.
Hendry’s title run is still incredibly fresh. It feels like it just started gaining momentum. I mean, he hasn’t even scratched the surface of what he can do as the face of the brand. Pulling the trigger on a title change this early would feel rushed. Unless, they’re fully committed to having rotational championships given how deep the roster is right now.
At the same time, you can absolutely see the argument for Ricky Saints winning. With so many recent call-ups, NXT needs strong staples at the top of the card. Saints, Hendry, and even Ethan Page all feel like foundational pieces of this era.
But for me, this one is simple. Joe Hendry just got started. His reign still has legs, and there’s more story to tell. I believe in Joe Hendry!
Prediction: Joe Hendry

Women’s North American Championship Match: Izzi Dame (c) vs. Tatum Paxley
This one is tough. Not because it’s unpredictable, but because I know exactly who I want to win.
Izzi Dame hasn’t really had the chance to fully establish herself since winning the title. Outside of the storyline with Tatum Paxley, her reign hasn’t felt as defined as it could be. And that’s frustrating, because Izzi has everything you want in a champion.
She has main event presence. She carries herself like a star. And on the mic? She’s far from second best, she’s it. Part of me wants to see her settle in for a dominant run and truly cement herself at the top of the division. She absolutely has main-title quality written all over her.
But if I’m putting feelings aside and looking at this objectively, WWE has something special with Tatum Paxley right now. She’s an over babyface. The crowd is with her. The emotional investment is real. And the story between these two has been phenomenal. Honestly, it might be the best-built program heading into NXT Vengeance Day.
Sometimes wrestling is about timing. Izzi will have her moment again. But right now? The momentum is with Paxley.
Prediction: Tatum Paxley

Street Fight: Blake Monroe vs. Jaida Parker
I can tell you who needs this one more. But this time, I’m not keeping my feelings out of it. I want Blake Monroe to win, and I want her to win dominantly.
We’re talking about someone who climbed the ladder and was part of one of the best stories in pro wrestling last year alongside Toni Storm, culminating in winning the AEW Women’s World Championship. That run proved she can carry emotion, stakes, and big-match pressure. So at this point, let’s stop playing with Monroe.
I’m over the slow burn. I’m over the “almost there” push. This program needs to end, and she needs to be positioned for the main title scene. Or even the main roster. WWE NXT absolutely benefits from having her, but her ceiling is far beyond just being a featured player. If they strap the rocket to her back and push her to the moon, she can be a centerpiece.
That said, Jaida needs this win too as she continues establishing herself as a babyface, which adds real intrigue to the booking. But feelings aside? I don’t care about anything else in this moment.
Prediction: Blake Monroe

Underground Match: Lola Vice vs. Kelani Jordan
I love me an Underground Match. With Lola Vice’s legitimate MMA background, this stipulation feels tailor-made for her.
The whole story has centered around her injured hand, with week after week of sympathy-building and questions about whether she’ll even be 100%. If she goes through all of that… and still loses? It makes her look foolish. Especially in a match type that’s supposed to favor her skill set.
The only believable way I see Kelani Jordan walking out with the win is with some kind of outside assistance. Otherwise, in a no-ropes, strike-heavy environment, this should be Lola’s fight to lose. And honestly? It feels like it’s time.
They’ve had multiple opportunities to strap the rocket to Lola Vice and put championship gold around her waist, and they haven’t pulled the trigger. If that’s not in the immediate plans, then the next logical step is elevation. She carries herself like a star, she brings legitimacy with her combat sports background, and she’s grown tremendously as a performer.
This feels like a “prove it and move on” moment.
Prediction: Lola Vice

Tony D’Angelo vs. Dion Lennox
At this point, Tony D’Angelo is officially the Bayley of his NXT class. Much like Bayley in her NXT days, Tony has done everything there is to do at this level. The call-up feels long overdue.
If anything, his rebrand probably should’ve coincided with a move to the main roster instead of happening while he’s still in WWE’s NXT system. By now, Tony should feel like a consistent main event presence. Not someone spinning his wheels.
Instead, he’s tied up in a feud with the leader of DarkState. And if I’m being honest? I have zero interest in this storyline. It feels like filler when Tony should be positioned as either a legitimate NXT Championship threat or already packing his bags for Raw or SmackDown.
That’s why this one feels simple. If he’s not entering the main title picture immediately, then he needs a decisive win here. No controversy. No extended program. Win, wrap it up, and move forward.
Prediction: Tony D’Angelo
