The Perfect NFL & MMA Comparisons

What if some of the biggest names in the NFL were MMA fighters? In our latest video, we break down the perfect athlete comparisons between the two sports, matching skill sets, personalities, and legacies.

Take Derrick Lewis and Christian Wilkins for example—both are massive, dominant in their fields, and have larger-than-life personalities. They may be terrifying on the field and in the cage. But, deep down, they’re just as huggable as they are dangerous. Then there’s Conor McGregor and Odell Beckham Jr.—two flashy superstars who took their sports by storm, only to see their dominance wane over time. McGregor was once the face of the UFC, while Beckham was a sensation the moment he entered the NFL.

We even got into the coaching side, comparing Greg Jackson to Bill Belichick. One built the Patriots into a dynasty, the other made JacksonWink MMA the gold standard of its era. Not to mention, both coached all-time greats in their sports, like Tom Brady and Jon Jones. And of course, we couldn’t forget two of the nicest guys in sports—Stephen Thompson and Russell Wilson—or the freak athletes like Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson and Tyreek “Cheetah” Hill.
