The underrated fights to watch at UFC Fight Night 153 in Stockholm, Sweden

On Saturday, June 1, the UFC will be making its return to Stockholm, Sweden, with #2 LHW contender Alexander Gustafsson taking on #4 LHW Anthony Smith in the main event.
Let’s dive into some of the more off-the-radar fights to watch for this Saturday’s fight card:
Joel Alvarez vs Danilo Belluardo
The night kicks off with a killer welterweight showdown between Joel ‘El Fenomeno’ Alvarez and Danilo ‘Caterpillar’ Belluardo.
Alvarez is a submission artist of all sorts. This guy is really something else. He holds a professional record of 15-2, with 14 of those being submissions wins. He was actually on a 10-win streak, including 9 submissions and a knockout, before losing his UFC debut in February 2019. He lost the bout by way of decision.
His opponent, Danilo Belluardo, has been on a win streak of his own lately. He is currently riding a 6-fight win streak, with 5 finishes, and 1 decision. In his most recent fight, he defeated Denilson Neves De Oliveira by unanimous decision. This fight against Alvarez will be his first in the UFC.
Both of these guys are proven warriors in the cage so we’ll see what happens when they get in there on Saturday night.
Devin Clark vs Darko Stosic
In this middleweight clash, Jackson-Wink prospect, Devin Clark, will be fighting the surging Serbian prospect, Darko Stosic.
Clark was originally scheduled to fight Ivan Shtyrkov at Fight Night 149 but the bout was cancelled. Clark holds a professional record of 9-3, with a UFC record of 3-3 so far. He debuted with the promotion in 2016 and has since racked up 3 decision wins inside the Octagon.
His opponent, Darko Stosic, holds a professional record of 13-1, with 8 knockouts. He is currently riding a 9-fight win streak, including a win in his UFC debut. 7 of those 9 were finishes, including 6 knockouts and 1 submission. He had a big moment in UFC debut, finishing his opponent, Jeremy Kimball, by TKO. That was in July of 2018. Ironically enough, he fought on the undercard of another Anthony Smith headliner. Stosic is a natural 205er and he will be fighting a true middleweight in Clark.

Bea Malecki vs Duda Santanna
This fight is huge for the UFC. Women’s featherweight action. And we have two new contenders for the division. Huge. Both of these women are making their UFC debuts and they bring new blood to the Women’s 145-pound division.
Anyways, let’s jump into the fight:
Stockholm native, Bea ‘Bad News Barbie’ Malecki is only 2-0 professionally, with 2 finishes since November 2017. She fought twice in the ExciteFight promotion, landing a submission and a TKO finish.
Her opponent, Duda ‘Cowboyzinha’ Santanna, holds a professional record of 3-0, with 1 finish and two decisions. Her 3 professional fights took place in the ‘Watch Out Combat Show’ promotion. Of the three wins, she landed 2 decisions and a TKO finish.
Neither of these two women are very experienced in the world of MMA but they are still very young and have long careers ahead of them.
Santanna is 22 years old and Malecki is 27. Plenty of time to develop and grow there. And it’s a huge development for the UFC, too. I’m sure these two will be booked more often if they have impressive performances on Saturday.
