Card Preview & Predictions for Evolution 2

WWE Evolution 2 is almost here, marking five years since WWE’s last all-women’s PLE. With high stakes, a stacked card, and an unforgettable spectacle on the horizon, we’ve got you covered. Check out our ultimate guide for a full match-by-match breakdown and predictions:

Women’s Intercontinental Championship: Becky Lynch (c) vs. Bayley vs. Lyra Valkyria

A high-stakes Triple Threat Match will shake up the women’s division as Becky Lynch defends the Women’s Intercontinental Championship against Bayley and the former titleholder, Lyra Valkyria.

Lynch made a major return at WrestleMania 41, teaming with Valkyria to defeat Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships. But their win came with a twist. It was later revealed that Becky was responsible for injuring Bayley before the match, taking her spot and forcing her way into the spotlight.

After losing the tag titles the following night on Raw, Lynch turned on Valkyria in brutal fashion. Though Lyra managed to retain the Intercontinental Title against Becky at Backlash, “The Man” bounced back and captured the championship at Money in the Bank.

Now Becky’s reign is just beginning, and she has big plans for the title. She wants the Women’s Intercontinental Championship to be seen like the men’s version: a true workhorse title. And Becky is determined to take it to new heights.

But Bayley’s shocking return has disrupted her momentum, and Valkyria is more motivated than ever to win back the title she helped elevate. Whether Becky continues her mission or Bayley claims the spotlight again remains to be seen.

One thing is certain… This match has all the makings of a show-stealer.

Quick Pick Predictions:

  • Joey: Becky Lynch
  • Rags: Bayley

WWE Women’s Championship: Tiffany Stratton (c) vs. Trish Stratus

One of the biggest dream matches in recent memory is officially set for WWE Evolution. Tiffany Stratton will put the WWE Women’s Championship on the line against WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus in a generational clash fans never expected to see.

On the July 4 edition of Friday Night SmackDown, Stratton was interrupted by Jade Cargill, teasing a potential SummerSlam showdown. Before anything could unfold, Trish Stratus made her surprise return and challenged Stratton to a match at Evolution. The champion accepted without hesitation, setting the stage for a monumental battle.

While it may seem unlikely for a current top star to lose their title to a returning legend, WWE has made that move before. It has never happened in the women’s division, and Evolution could be the perfect time to make history. The headline would steal the weekend, especially if Naomi cashes in her Money in the Bank contract right after. That twist would be the icing on the cake.

The outcome of this match will be one to watch closely. Even its placement on the card could hint at what the finish might be. One way or another, this match promises to be unforgettable.

Quick Pick Predictions:

  • Joey: Tiffany Stratton
  • Rags: Trish Stratus

Women’s World Championship: IYO SKY (c) vs. Rhea Ripley

The Women’s World Champion IYO SKY will put her title on the line against Rhea Ripley.

SKY claimed the championship on the Road to WrestleMania, defeating Ripley largely thanks to Bianca Belair’s presence at ringside. She then retained her title in a thrilling triple threat on the sport’s biggest stage against both competitors.

Since then, Ripley has been relentlessly pursuing redemption, highlighted by a hard-fought victory over Raquel Rodriguez in a brutal Street Fight at WWE Night of Champions. When asked who she wanted to face at the historic second WWE Evolution, SKY made it clear she wanted the best. She personally challenged Ripley to a one-on-one match.

However, IYO’s reign has lacked compelling storylines, leaving many wondering if WWE might return the title to Ripley. With SummerSlam approaching and the possibility of a blockbuster SKY vs. Asuka match within reach, Ripley regaining the title could give both women the spotlight they’ve been craving.

Quick Pick Predictions:

  • Joey & Rags: IYO SKY

NXT Women’s Championship: Jacy Jayne (c) vs. Jordynne Grace

Jacy Jayne is set to defend the NXT Women’s Championship, and her challenger is none other than Jordynne Grace. The powerhouse has been making waves since stepping into NXT, and now she’s ready for her biggest moment yet.

After stunning Stephanie Vaquer to win the title, Jayne and Fatal Influence have dominated the division. Their grip on power has been undeniable, but Grace is coming straight for the throne.

Jordynne earned her shot by winning the Evolution Eliminator Tournament, closing it out with a statement victory in a Fatal 4-Way against some of NXT’s best. She now has backup in Blake Monroe, though the odds still favor Jayne, Fallon Henley, and Jazmyn Nyx.

With a Winner-Takes-All Match for the TNA Knockouts Championship scheduled at Slammiversary, the momentum is building. WWE Evolution could be the night Jordynne Grace finally captures her first WWE gold. It’s a fitting event, a fitting moment, and the perfect payoff for the last of the big three NXT women’s signings to reach the top.

Quick Pick Predictions:

  • Joey & Rags: Jordynne Grace

No Holds Barred: Jade Cargill vs. Naomi with Special Guest Referee Bianca Belair

Jade Cargill and Naomi are set to collide in a No Holds Barred Match at WWE Evolution — and with Bianca Belair now added as Special Guest Referee, everything could change.

Their rivalry has been boiling over for months. It all started when Naomi shockingly tossed Cargill off a landing and through a car windshield in a brutal act of revenge. Since then, their feud has turned deeply personal and dangerously unpredictable, spilling into crowd brawls and chaotic backstage altercations.

Both women have had major momentum shifts heading into Evolution. Cargill cemented her dominance by winning the Queen of the Ring Tournament, earning a WWE Women’s Championship match at SummerSlam. Meanwhile, Naomi holds the Money in the Bank contract, giving her a guaranteed title opportunity anytime she chooses.

With stakes this high and emotions running even higher, a standard match just wouldn’t cut it. The No Holds Barred stipulation sets the stage for an all-out war between two of WWE’s most explosive Superstars. And now, with Bianca Belair officiating, her presence could be the X-factor that alters the outcome.

This clash has all the makings of a show-stealer. Will Naomi pull off the win and cash in later that night? Or will Cargill finally get her revenge and cement her path to SummerSlam gold? No matter which way it goes, this match promises to be pure chaos from bell to bell.

Quick Pick Predictions:

  • Joey: Naomi
  • Rags: Jade Cargill

Battle Royal: Winner Gets Title Shot at WWE Clash in Paris 2025

To celebrate the legacy of the inaugural WWE Evolution event from 2018, Raw General Manager Adam Pearce and SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis have announced a high-stakes Women’s Battle Royal. The prize? A guaranteed Women’s Championship match at WWE Clash in Paris.

WWE has a prime opportunity here to put someone over with a big win. Last year, Nia Jax won but came up short in her title shot. Whoever claims victory this time needs to be catapulted straight into the title picture and given a real chance to shine at the top.

A large field of talented Superstars will compete. But, only one will emerge victorious and earn this incredible opportunity to chase gold on one of WWE’s biggest stages.

Quick Pick Predictions:

  • Joey: Stephanie Vaquer
  • Rags: Nikki Bella

Women’s Tag Team Championships: Raquel Rodriguez & Roxanne Perez (c) vs. The Kabuki Warriors vs. Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss vs. Sol Ruca & Zaria

The WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles are finally getting a proper spotlight at Evolution 2, with champions Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez set to defend in a Fatal 4-Way Tag Team Match. Representing each brand, they’ll face Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss from SmackDown, The Kabuki Warriors from Raw, and NXT’s Sol Ruca and Zaria.

It’s good to see the belts featured on the card, especially since they weren’t around during the first Evolution. But the division still feels like an afterthought, with teams thrown together just to fill spots. This match could go in any direction.

With Liv Morgan injured, Judgment Day convinced Raw GM Adam Pearce to allow Roxanne to defend the titles to keep them in the group. Pearce agreed, as long as they faced teams from every brand. It’s a big opportunity for Roxanne, who still needs a signature moment to truly feel part of the faction.

Charlotte and Alexa earned their way into the match after defeating The Secret Hervice and B-Fab & Michin. Their alliance is shaky, but it’s working… For now. A title win could push their dynamic into something bigger.

Asuka and Kairi Sane reuniting as The Kabuki Warriors brought a surprise to Raw. They’re one of the best teams in WWE history. However, with Damage CTRL splitting and Asuka just returning, their inclusion feels rushed.

Then there’s Sol Ruca and Zaria, who’ve quietly become one of NXT’s best duos. If any team deserves to bring the belts to their brand, it’s them. NXT’s women’s tag scene is deeper than the main roster right now, even if only slightly.

This one’s a toss-up. Roxanne and Judgment Day need the win to keep their momentum. Charlotte and Alexa have something brewing that could turn into a bigger story. Sol and Zaria feel like the future. And while seeing The Kabuki Warriors win again would be cool, the timing isn’t quite right.

No matter who walks away with the gold, it’s a step in the right direction for a division that’s long needed one.

Quick Pick Predictions:

  • Joey: Raquel Rodriguez & Roxanne Perez
  • Rags: Alexa Bliss & Charlotte Flair
