Read Time:1 Minute, 17 Second

It looks like Luke Fernandez has a new opponent for his next title defense. Reeves Davis Jr. steps up on short notice to face the current NextGen light heavyweight champion at CFFC 112 in hopes of adding a new title to his already impressive resume.

Fernandez (5-0 AM) was last seen at CFFC 108 where he defended his title against Dymere Rappa. After adding another finish to his amateur record, many thought Fernandez would turn pro next. Instead, he opted in to defend his title for a second time. With Orelvis Hernandez Alvarez having to pull out, in comes Fernandez’s toughest test to date, Davis Jr...

Fighting out of Alabama, Davis Jr. (8-1 AM) has also had an impressive amateur career thus far. After his first two fights, Reeves has since only been in championship fights. He’s claimed the Southeastern Combat Championships, SHP, Island Fights, B2 Fighting Series, and the AFC amateur titles at heavyweight and light heavyweight. He now looks to add a beautiful, shiny CFFC belt to his collection.

It’s the test both men need before turning pro, and it’s a scrap you do not want to miss… CFFC 112 will feature featherweight headliner for the vacant title between Frank Wells and Jose Perez. Also on the card are Dante Rivera BJJ standouts Eric Nolan and Nick Galatni.

The action goes down on August 26th inside the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The main card will stream live on UFC Fight Pass. Prelim fights will be shown on the CFFC Facebook page.
