The Prime Card could be the peak of Influencer Boxing

Read Time:2 Minute, 44 Second

This Saturday, October 14th, the biggest event in the Influencer Boxing scene thus far will take place. While the actual skill sets and fundamentals of boxing will be heavily lacking, the star power will more than make up for it as far as entertainment.

The card features world famous Influencer KSI, as he takes on younger brother of the legendary Fury family, Tommy Fury. Another world famous Influencer, Logan Paul, takes on Dillon Danis, who by hook or crook, has managed to draw all eyeballs in the direction of this bout. Fan favorite Salt Papi takes on Slim among other popular matchups. If that is not enough, Jake Paul and Conor McGregor are both expected at ringside for Misfits Boxing: The Prime Card.

Between lawsuits, heated rivalries, legacies at stake, and tag team matches, it is sure to be a spectacle at the very least…

Misfits Boxing PPV Numbers

KSI finds himself headlining a card yet again, and the numbers have not been too bad in his past events with Misfits. KSI vs. Swarmz back in August 2022 reportedly sold 445,000 PPV units, KSI vs. Fournier this past May reportedly sold 300,000 PPV units.

Not terrible numbers, but that will not fly this time around. If KSI and Logan Paul are as big as they seem to be, having them both on the same card should generate far more buys than any previous Misfits events by a country mile. Not to mention the fact that Jiu-Jitsu black belt and internet villain, Dillon Danis, has somehow gotten the attention of the entire world on his fight with Paul.

One would say the only person missing to complete the dream Influencer Boxing card is Jake Paul. And yet, even Misfits have managed to integrate him into the storyline by having him ringside. Jake’s feuds with KSI, Fury, and McGregor, who again should be ringside as well, make his appearance all the more exciting.

How Much Bigger Can It Get?

As I take a step back and look at this, the one thing that comes to mind is how much better can it get? It seems as if they went all out with this card, left no stone unturned as far as putting together the best event possible. This brings me back to the PPV numbers.

If Misfits Boxing does not hit this one out of the park, I do not see an event that would top it. Yeah, you can have KSI and Logan Paul on the same card again. But Logan has even said that they are only doing this one event together because it is The Prime Card. Losses, retirements and other factors can damage the value of these events down the line anyway, so who knows where this very specific genre of fighting will even be in the future.

In other words, this seems to be Influencer Boxing’s big moment. Regardless of streaming, you would have to imagine that this will be their biggest event to date by far. It will be interesting to see just how many buys Misfits will reel in with this one…
