UFC 318, Power Slap 14 Headline New Orleans Weekend
Power Slap 14 is set to light up New Orleans on Friday, July 18th, 2025. It will kick off a historic combat sports weekend that culminates with UFC 318. The event marks Power Slap’s first U.S. show outside of Las Vegas. According to Slap News, Power Slap 14 will take place at Xavier University’s Convocation Center, a venue that accommodates roughly 4,500 fans.
UFC 318 will also be monumental. Headlined by a BMF title fight, Max Holloway will defend against his first UFC opponent in a must-see trilogy bout. In the co-main event, former title challenger Marvin Vettori will settle the score with Brendan Allen.
Potential Power Slap 14 Matchups
The original Power Slap 13 lineup included four title fights. Most notably, the first-ever women’s title bout between Paige VanZant and Mikael-Michelle Brown. Although the matchup was removed due to injury, it may be rescheduled for a future event.
Looking ahead, several potential title bouts are on the radar:
- Heavyweight Champion Damien Dibbell – currently recovering from injury
- Lightweight Champion Rey Trujillo – also rehabbing and could return soon
- A Middleweight trilogy title fight between current champion Brandon Bordeaux and former champion Isaiah Quinones is expected to take place in the near future
When building a hypothetical Power Slap 14 card, there’s no shortage of title-worthy options for the top of the lineup.
Beyond the championship bouts, several fighters have expressed interest in competing at the event. Some potential additions that responded directly to a promotional post from Slap News include:
- Nate Burnard – former Heavyweight title challenger
- Keali’i Kanekoa – current #3-ranked Middleweight
- Gianni Huerta – current #9-ranked Lightweight
- Rayden Bombardier – surging contender
This card presents a valuable opportunity for athletes across all divisions to make their case for future title contention.
