Wednesday Night Wars: AEW Dynamite Week 20 Review

This week’s episode of Dynamite was celebrated from the H.E.B. center in Austin, Texas. As usual last like week, AEW had a hot crowd throughout the night.

This episode of Dynamite had it all, awesome matches, great promos, and an interesting surprise. This episode of Dynamite is with no doubts one of the best episodes AEW has done.

Kenny Omega & Hangman Page def. SCU to retain the AEW Tag team championships.

This was the first title defense of Omega and Page. Both teams had great chemistry with each other. Kenny Omega and Hangman Page work so well as a tag team.

After the match ended several tag teams came out and brawl. In the end, The Young Bucks stood tall in the ring. This was a great tease for next week’s tag team battle royal for a title match against Omega and Page at Revolution.

Santana was interviewed by Jim Ross

This was an incredible interview for Santana. The member of the Inner Circle made an amazing promo. Santana is going to be a world champion in AEW someday.

Darby Allin Vignette

Darby Allin is a very creative wrestler and his vignettes are proof of this. With the use of cardboard cards, Darby challenged Sammy Guevara to a match at Revolution.

Dustin Rhodes def. Sammy Guevara w/Jake Hager

Dustin Rhodes once more in an episode of Dynamite delivers a hell of a match. Sammy Guevara’s work as a heel during this bout was amazing.

After the match, Dustin Rhodes challenged Jake Hager to a match at Revolution.

Britt Baker Promo

Ever since Britt Baker turned heel, she has been doing a phenomenal job in the promo department. The crowd was awesome during her promo.

Britt Baker, after this promo, looked like a star.

Nyla Rose def. Riho to become the new AEW Women’s Champion

This was the best match of the night. Both women not only had the best match of the night but also the best women’s match of AEW’s history. One of the best spots of this match was Riho hitting Nyla Rose with a snapdragon suplex.

These two wrestlers have great chemistry and I hope we see them face each other again someday.

Lexy Nair Interviews Chris Jericho

Once again Jericho made a great promo and announced, if Jon Moxley was able to “survive” his match against Santana on the main event of this week’s Dynamite, he would face Jeff Cobb next week.

MJF w/ Wardlow def. Jungle Boy

MJF and Jungle Boy are the future of AEW. This match was incredible and had a lot of great moments. MJF was able to win with a little help from Wardlow.

During this match, Brandi Rhodes, no longer as leader of the Nightmare Collective, was on commentary and did a good job hyping up the upcoming steel cage match between Wardlow and Cody.

PAC Vignette

Amazing vignette from PAC. On this, he said he is the reason things have not been going on the right way for Kenny Omega.

PAC once more proves he is an amazing promo and the upcoming 30-minute Ironman match between both men is going to be great.

Jon Moxley def. Santana w/ Ortiz

A great main event. Everything in this match worked so well and both men sold so well the damage they have in their eyes.

After the match, The Inner Circle appeared and beat Jon Moxley. Chris Jericho also made a signal and we saw Jeff Cobb appear and hit his finisher, Tour of the Islands, on Moxley.

AEW Rating

This was one of the best episodes of Dynamite. Everything worked. This episode had a lot of build-up for the upcoming episodes of Dynamite and their PPV Revolution.

The match of the night was the AEW women’s championship match between Nyla Rose and Riho.

Rating: A+
