Read Time:4 Minute, 34 Second

The world of professional wrestling is entering a new chapter as WWE LFG returns for Season 2 on A&E. With one season now under their belt, the series continues to provide a behind-the-scenes look at what it truly takes to earn a WWE contract, this time with even higher stakes. This season brings back familiar faces from Season 1, while also introducing new talent eager to prove they belong.

Led once again by WWE executives and Hall of Famers Paul “Triple H” Levesque and Shawn Michaels, LFG features a stacked coaching lineup. The Undertaker, Booker T, and Bubba Ray Dudley return to guide the next generation, while Michelle McCool joins the series for her first full season as a mentor. Each week, these legends will help shape the superstars of tomorrow. They offer expertise in-ring and on the mic, helping mold the future of WWE one match at a time.

Season 2, Episode 14: ‘Down to the Wire’

The fourteenth episode, Down to the Wire, will air on September 28, 2025 on A&E. The show kicks off where the last left off with the LFG Screwjob. Shawn Michaels then awarded a point to Drake Morreaux and Bubba’s team. Undertaker wasn’t too happy about it, but Bubba Ray explained that he picked Drake over BJ because he saw everything come together for Drake at the end and wanted to help bring out his personality even more.

Shawn then announced that there will be four matches tonight, with the finals taking place in Houston, Texas, where the winners will receive an NXT contract. The semi-final matchups are then set, and the contestants face off in the ring, exchanging trash talk.

The Matches on Episode 14

Shiloh Hill def. Anthony Luke

The match kicks off with Anthony Luke taking the early advantage. But shortly after, Shiloh Hill rallies the crowd behind him, and momentum shifts in his favor. Shiloh starts delivering a series of precise moves, including a devastating leg drop at the edge of the ring.

Anthony quickly fights back, and the match becomes a thrilling back-and-forth that keeps the judges on their feet. The crowd is firmly behind Shiloh, but both men bring incredible intensity, making it feel like an LFG final. Shiloh hits a close two-count but eventually lands his finisher to secure the win.

After the match, both competitors celebrate together. The Legends agreed that this match could easily have been on any main show and recognized that both men are ready for the next phase of their careers.

When it came down to the votes, Michelle McCool chose Anthony Luke, Booker T chose Shiloh Hill, Bubba Ray also chose Shiloh, and Undertaker joined them, sending Shiloh to the finale for a second season.

Penina Tuilaepa def. Zena Sterling

The match kicks off with Zena immediately showcasing her unique skill set. She had the early advantage over Penina Tuilaepa, but once they moved outside the ring, Penina took control. She brought Zena back into the ring and started delivering a beating. The Legends seemed unimpressed, noting Zena’s mistake of not taking a proper bump.

Zena eventually regains momentum and fires up the crowd. She climbs the top rope and lands a ‘baby splash,’ as Booker called it, but it only earned her a two-count. As both women get back to their feet, Penina hits a spear on Zena to secure the victory.

When it came down to the votes, Bubba Ray chose Zena Sterling, Michelle McCool chose Penina Tuilaepa, Booker T also chose Penina, and Undertaker joined them, sending Penina to the finale.

Dani Sekelsky def. Sirena Linton

Once the bell rings, Sirena Linton immediately targets Dani Sekelsky, continuing the heated rivalry from their promo battle. Dani takes control early, but Sirena fights back, showing she means business and scoring several near-falls.

After a while, Dani starts to regain momentum, turning the tide after taking a beating. Both women attempt sneaky pins, but the referee catches them. Sirena goes for a Molly Go Round and misses, and as she tries to lift Dani, Dani locks in the Hell’s Gate submission, forcing Sirena to tap out.

When it came down to the votes, Booker T chose Sirena Linton, Michelle McCool chose Dani Sekelsky, Undertaker also chose Dani, and Bubba joined them, sending Dani to the finale.

Drake Morreaux def. Harlem Lewis

The match immediately kicks off with Harlem Lewis going after Drake Morreaux. But, Drake quickly makes him pay right away, matching Harlem’s aggression. They trade blows back and forth, with Drake getting the upper hand in most exchanges.

Momentum shifts when Drake charges at Harlem in the corner, but Harlem moves out of the way and goes for a roll-up pin. Drake’s head hits the turnbuckle, and Harlem follows up with a neckbreaker on the outside of the ring.

Back in the ring, Harlem continues the assault, but Drake slowly starts to turn the tide. He eventually goes for the Chokeslam and gets the three-count.

When it came down to the votes, Bubba Ray chose Drake Morreaux, Booker T chose Harlem Lewis, Undertaker chose Drake, and Michelle chose Harlem, resulting in a tie. Because of that, Shawn Michaels will decide who moves on to the finale.
