Renowned MMA coach, John Kavanagh, is spending his birthday in a way few can boast: Aboard a private jet headed to the United States. The occasion? It looks like he will be attending Donald Trump’s presidential inauguration alongside Conor McGregor.

In a recent post on Instagram, Coach Kavanagh shared his excitement writing, “Will be a memorable birthday! Heading to the inauguration with the champ champ, thanks for the invite @thenotoriousmma we’ve had some memorable Jan 18ths!”

Despite residing in Ireland, Kavanagh has kept a close eye on the 2025 U.S. Presidential Election. His support for Trump aligns with that of many fighters in the MMA community, who have publicly voiced admiration for the former president’s outspoken nature and support of combat sports.

This may come as a surprise or Conor McGregor fans. Especially after the former UFC champion previously expressed displeasure when Donald Trump called Khabib Nurmagomedov his favorite fighter. Despite this, it seems like he is excited to attend.

In a recent post on X, Conor wrote, “Just landed in Washington DC to witness @realDonaldTrump become Double Champ.”

Trump’s upcoming inauguration is set to be a historic event. Scheduled for Monday, January 20, 2025, the ceremony coincides with Martin Luther King Jr. Day, adding an extra layer of significance to the day. The inauguration, steeped in tradition and celebration, is deeply rooted in the U.S. Constitution and shaped by customs established by previous presidents.

The swearing-in ceremony will commence at 12 p.m. ET on the steps of the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C., with coverage beginning at 10 a.m. ET on major television networks and streaming platforms like YouTube.
