Card Preview & Predictions for WWE Clash in Italy

Clash in Italy is shaping up to be a must-watch event. Below, we break down each matchup, provide our predictions, and highlight the key storylines ahead of the big night:

WWE Undisputed Championship: Cody Rhodes (c) vs. Gunther

This is such an interesting match and definitely not one I had on my bingo card this early in the year. But can WWE really have Gunther lose with the serious momentum he’s built — especially in front of an Italy crowd?

It feels like the perfect moment for Gunther to make a statement with a dominant win over WWE’s QB1. This match is going to be an absolute banger. But something tells me shenanigans could play a role because the timing still feels a bit early.

Regardless of my gut feeling, I’m going against choosing Cody Rhodes and picking Gunther to win.

Prediction: Gunther

World Heavyweight Championship: Roman Reigns (c) vs. Jacob Fatu

The fact that WWE decided to run this back tells you this moment in the Bloodline storyline is supposed to be significant. Whether that means Jacob Fatu shocks the world and wins the title or there’s an even bigger reveal tied to him, this match feels important either way.

Regardless, it’s going to be another banger. As Paul Heyman once compared it, we’re probably only in the fourth or sixth inning of this story, and there’s still so much left to explore. Solo Sikoa and Talla Tonga are still looming, Tama Tonga’s babyface turn continues to develop, and another Bloodline civil war always feels possible.

At the end of the day, though, I just can’t see WWE taking the title off Roman Reigns this early. That’s what it comes down to.

Prediction: Roman Reigns
