WWE Clash in Italy Predictions: New Champions Made?
WWE Clash in Italy takes place Sunday, May 31st, live from the Inalpi Arena in Turin, Italy. The main card streams in the United States at 2:00 p.m. ET, with the first hour airing on ESPN as part of WWE’s expanded broadcast rollout.
As announced on Monday Night RAW, the opening matches of the night will feature two major championship bouts: Cody Rhodes vs. Gunther for the Undisputed WWE Championship, and Rhea Ripley vs. Jade Cargill for the WWE Women’s Championship.
Below are full predictions for every match on the card:

WWE Undisputed Championship: Cody Rhodes (c) vs. Gunther
Following WrestleMania, Cody Rhodes found himself without Randy Orton in his orbit, leaving many to wonder what his next major challenge would be. That answer came in the form of Gunther.
The Ring General shocked the WWE Universe by targeting Cody and leveraging his influence through Paul Heyman to secure a move from Raw to SmackDown, immediately positioning himself for a title opportunity.
Now, the match is set for Clash in Italy. Despite Cody only holding the championship since March, momentum feels like it’s shifting toward Gunther. This is the perfect stage to crown a dominant new champion, and Gunther feels like the right long-term play.
Prediction: Gunther wins the Undisputed WWE Championship

WWE Women’s Championship: Rhea Ripley (c) vs. Jade Cargill
Rhea Ripley and Jade Cargill meet again in a rematch from WrestleMania 42, where Ripley emerged victorious to capture the Women’s Championship.
Since then, Jade has stayed firmly in the title picture, including scoring a pinfall over Ripley in six-woman tag team action on Saturday Night’s Main Event. That result adds intrigue heading into this rematch.
However, despite Jade picking up momentum, it feels too soon for WWE to hot-potato the title back. Ripley still feels like the centerpiece of the division, and this rematch likely serves to end the rivalry so Rhea can move on.
Prediction: Rhea Ripley retains

Brock Lesnar vs. Oba Femi
This is another WrestleMania 42 rematch between two absolute powerhouses. At WrestleMania, Oba Femi overwhelmed Brock Lesnar so decisively that it was teased Lesnar may have been “retired” from in-ring competition.
That changed last week on RAW when Lesnar returned unexpectedly, attacking Femi and declaring that the beast is far from finished. Lesnar made it clear that Oba didn’t just awaken him—he awakened something worse.
Femi, meanwhile, has shown no fear, questioning exactly what version of Lesnar he’s dealing with now.
This should be another physical, explosive encounter between two forces of nature. While Oba’s momentum is undeniable, the return of Brock Lesnar feels like it’s setting up a longer arc between the two.
Prediction: Brock Lesnar wins (series tied 1–1, rubber match teased)

Women’s Intercontinental Championship: Becky Lynch (c) vs. Sol Ruca
Sol Ruca earns her first main roster championship opportunity after a controversial finish at Saturday Night’s Main Event, where she defeated Becky Lynch via disqualification in a non-title match.
That win secured her this title shot at Clash in Italy. However, there’s concern heading in, as Sol appeared to come out of that match banged up and may not be 100% at bell time.
Even so, WWE often uses moments like this to elevate rising stars, and Sol Ruca feels like she’s being positioned for a breakout moment on the main roster. A Sol win here feels like the right move, and something that could only grow her fanfare.
Prediction: Sol Ruca wins the Women’s Intercontinental Championship

Tribal Combat – World Heavyweight Championship: Roman Reigns (c) vs. Jacob Fatu
The family war continues as Roman Reigns defends the World Heavyweight Championship against Jacob Fatu in Tribal Combat. With no disqualifications, no count-outs, and no rules, this match is expected to descend into complete chaos.
Interference from various members of the extended Anoa’i family feels almost inevitable, along with weapon use and brutal, personal storytelling that defines Tribal Combat.
While Jacob Fatu is more than capable of becoming champion and would be a breakout moment in his career, it feels too soon to take the title off Roman Reigns after his WrestleMania victory over CM Punk.
As much as the momentum may point toward a changing of the guard, WWE likely keeps the championship on Reigns to further establish this new reign. Despite my personal hope that WWE would pull the trigger on Jacob, I unfortunately don’t think they will. The Tribal Chief, and still.
Prediction: Roman Reigns retains
