Charlotte Flair Open to a WWE Romance Storyline?

Read Time:2 Minute, 6 Second

Charlotte Flair has accomplished just about everything there is to do in WWE.

A 14-time Women’s World Champion, Royal Rumble winner, WrestleMania main eventer, and future Hall of Famer, “The Queen” has checked nearly every box imaginable throughout her career.

But during an interview with WFAN New York at Fanatics Fest on Thursday, Flair revealed there’s still one type of storyline she’d love to experience.

Brand-New Storylines

When asked what storylines she’d still like to be involved in, Flair had a different answer than expected.

“I want to win number 15. That’s definitely on the list. But, I’ve never been involved in like a romantic storyline. Or have been like opposite a male character. So, I think that would be cool. Or, I’ve never led a group.”

While the idea of Flair leading her own faction would certainly be compelling, it was her comments about a potential on-screen romance that immediately grabbed fans’ attention.

It’s not often that a superstar openly pitches themselves for a romantic storyline, especially someone with Flair’s résumé. The comments instantly sparked discussion among fans. Many already beginning to fantasy book who could potentially fill that role if WWE ever decided to explore the idea.

Ironically, despite both spending years in WWE together, Flair and her former husband Andrade were never paired together as an on-screen couple. Now, with both moving on from that chapter of their lives, the door is open for WWE to create something entirely new should the company decide to go in that direction.

It also wouldn’t be unprecedented.

WWE’s Love Angles

WWE has featured several mixed-gender storylines in recent years. Liv Morgan and Dominik Mysterio remain one of the company’s most talked-about pairings despite not being together off-screen.

While Maxxine Dupri recently found herself becoming the on-screen love interest of Austin Theory. Though she’s married in real life to NXT Superstar Kam Hendrix.

Those examples prove WWE has no issue separating television storylines from real-life relationships if it serves the story.

For now, Flair is focused on her alliance with Alexa Bliss, but her comments have certainly planted a seed. Whether WWE chooses to explore the idea remains to be seen.

But if “The Queen” gets her wish, fans may eventually see a completely different side of her.

Would you like to see Charlotte Flair involved in an on-screen romance storyline? Or, is that one chapter of her career better left unwritten?
