Card Preview & Predictions for TNA Genesis 2026
TNA Gensis is shaping up to be a must-watch event. Below, we break down each matchup, provide our predictions, and highlight the key storylines ahead of the big night:

TNA Knockouts Championship: Léi Yǐng Lee (c) vs. Zaria (w/ Sol Ruca)
Léi Yǐng Lee made history by winning the Knockouts World Championship, becoming the first Chinese champion in TNA history after defeating Jordynne Grace and Kelani Jordan. She has already defended the title against her former Angel Warrior partner Xia Brookside.
While Sol Ruca came out to answer the open challenge alongside Zaria, she hyped up her friend and told her she deserved the title shot. This comes after Dani Luna’s visa issues forced her to pull out.
Now they meet at TNA’s first PPV of 2026. It should be a solid match, but I don’t see them taking the belt off Léi Yǐng Lee just yet. Maybe they use this match to finally break Zaruca up since they’ve been teasing it for a while.
Prediction: Léi Yǐng Lee

TNA World Tag Team Championships: The Hardys (c) vs. The Righteous
The Righteous made a shocking debut at Final Resolution, targeting The Hardys and pulling Matt Hardy from the iMPACT! Zone during the Steel Cage Match. The mind games are over now as the teams collide with the TNA World Tag Team Titles on the line.
This could go either way. However, with The Righteous getting a big spotlight early, it might be the moment to take the belts off The Hardys and shake up the tag division with a fresh new reign.
Prediction: The Righteous

A.J. Francis vs. Rich Swann
A.J. Francis tried for months to get Rich Swann to do his dirty work for a shot at TNA gold. At Final Resolution, Swann refused to hit Leon Slater and instead slammed Francis with the belt, costing him his opportunity.
Francis got revenge with a thudding Down Payment through a table. A.J. is on a roll, so I’m taking him to win this one.
Prediction: A.J. Francis

Retirement Match: JDC vs. Eddie Edwards
JDC has announced that he will retire from in-ring competition at Genesis. A loyal member of The System and a true veteran of the sport, he’s decided to hang up his boots as major life changes take priority.
His final match will see him face longtime friend and fellow System ally Eddie Edwards at TNA’s first pay-per-view of 2026. It’s a fitting sendoff for someone who has given so much to the company.
Something tells me we’re not getting a happy ending here. I expect Edwards to retire JDC, and it’s likely to be an emotional moment.
Prediction: Eddie Edwards

Joe Hendry vs. Moose vs. Cedric Alexander
Recently on iMPACT!, Cedric Alexander won a chaotic Six-Way Scramble to become the No. 1 Contender for the X-Division Championship, currently held by Leon Slater. The following week, Moose reminded everyone he still has an unused rematch clause.
Santino Marella makes it official. This might be the match of the night. Even though Leon is no longer in the matchup, adding Joe Hendry simply swaps out the favorite. Now that he’s on the WWE roster, a loss here would hurt.
Prediction: Joe Hendry

Elijah vs. Mustafa Ali (w/ The Order)
At Final Resolution, Mustafa Ali was humiliated when Elijah and Order 4 tied him to a horse and dragged him out of the iMPACT! Zone. Ali fired back by crashing Elijah’s return concert and smashing a guitar over him in a vicious retaliation.
Now the two are set to collide, with Elijah stepping back into action against Mustafa Ali. It’s a matchup between two of TNA’s top stars, and it should be an absolute banger. I’ve got Mustafa winning this one.
Prediction: Mustafa Ali

Mara Sadè vs. Ryan Nemeth
This is an unexpected but fun matchup. I didn’t expect to see an intergender bout between Mara Sadè and Ryan Nemeth. But, I’m here for it!
Since they’ve been making a joke out of Ryan lately and he’s become a loudmouth you can’t take seriously, Mara is definitely winning here. Nonetheless, this should be a fun one that breaks up the card and provides some memeable moments.
Prediction: Mara Sadè
