WWE LFG Season 3

WWE LFG Season 3: Episode 2 Recap

Read Time:4 Minute, 23 Second

WWE LFG returns for Season 3 on A&E, bringing fans another behind-the-scenes look at what it really takes to earn a WWE contract. With two seasons already in the books, this year raises the stakes and promises the most unique season yet.

Familiar faces are back to guide the next generation. Booker T and Bubba Ray will return as coaches, and both Natalya and Kevin Owens join the show as new additions to the panel. Season 1 was claimed by The Undertaker, and Michelle McCool took home the win in Season 2. But this time, everything is different.

There are no more points, no more teams, and no more fighting for an NXT contract. Each week, the legends provide guidance both in-ring and on the mic, shaping the superstars of tomorrow and helping mold the future of WWE one match at a time.

Here’s what went down this week:

Season 3, Episode 2: ‘All on the Line’

All on the Line, will air on on Sunday, May 3rd on A&E.

Things get heated in the first tag match of the season, while Kevin Owens and Natalya help two female Future Greats find their inner aggression; and in the main event, Coach Bubba helps Drake Morreaux put it all on the line against newcomer Nathan Cranton.

The Matches on Episode 2

WWE LFG Match Rating (1–5 Scale)
1️⃣ 😐 Meh / Okay – Not much happened, filler match
2️⃣ 🙂 Decent – Solid wrestling, nothing special
3️⃣ 🔥 Good / Fun – Crowd got into it, entertaining spots
4️⃣ 💥 Great / Must-See – High energy, memorable moments
5️⃣ 🤯 Epic / Instant Classic – Mind-blowing, match of the season candidate

Carlee Bright vs. Layla Diggs

  • Results: Carlee Bright def. Layla Diggs
  • Rating: 🙂

This was a solid match, especially with Layla Diggs working as a heel for the first time and Carlee Bright still needing a few things to fully click in the ring.

There wasn’t anything especially standout about the match, but it was a good opener. Natalya thought Bright did a great job selling, while Kevin Owens gave praise to Layla, who was hard on herself afterward, saying she was a good heel.

Jax Presley & Harley Riggins vs. Mike Derudder & Harlem Lewis

  • Results: Jax Presley & Harley Higgins def. Mike Derudder & Harlem Lewis
  • Rating: 🙂

This was an okay match for it being the first tag match of the season. But, both teams worked very well together. Jax Presley & Harley Riggins clearly want to work together and have a real friendship, both being former football players who have been at the PC for a little over a year.

Despite Mike Derudder & Harlem Lewis teaming for the first time on the show (and only a few times in practice matches), they also showed strong chemistry as a unit, as well as familiarity as opponents from Lewis’ time in Japan. They feel like they have something building as a team.

There wasn’t anything too standout overall, but the in-ring and character work was solid. It was a fast-paced, hard-hitting match, but it was a bit unclear which team was meant to be the babyfaces, which falls on Jax and Harley.

After the match, Harley spat on Harlem, leading to Harlem slapping him and flipping him off. The coaches felt they knew how to make themselves look good, but not their opponent. KO thought the match was boring.

Drake Morreaux vs. Nathan Cranton

  • Results: Drake Morreaux def. Nathan Cranton
  • Rating: 🙂

This was a solid match. Both Drake Morreaux and Nathan Cranton did everything they were supposed to do. However, I felt the match ended with an anticlimactic finish.

The crowd wasn’t fully into it, but it did enough to keep Drake Morreaux from being let go from his contract. Bubba Ray spoke to Drake after the match and told him how intently Shawn was watching. Drake felt he couldn’t have done any better, and he ultimately lands an opportunity to wrestle for AAA.
