3 WWE Wrestlers Who Could Break Out in the Second Half of 2026
In WWE, timing is everything. Some stars rise the second they get an opportunity. Others spend months, sometimes years, hovering just below that next level, waiting for the right moment that may never come.
As WWE heads deeper into 2026, there are a handful of names who feel closer than ever to that breakout moment. Here’s three:

Carmelo Hayes
Up first is Carmelo Hayes. This is the obvious pick, as fans have been patiently waiting for the former United States Champion to get a main event opportunity that we all know he’d hit a home-run with.
He has been hovering right below that top bill for a while now and fans are starting to get impatient.
After losing the United States Championship to Sami Zayn, Hayes looked like he was on the verge of a fan-led WrestleMania movement. He had support behind the idea of inserting him into the WrestleMania match between Trick Williams and Zayn.
However, Hayes was unfortunately injured and that opportunity never came. With Hayes currently being sidelined, the timing has once again been disrupted.
But that might not be a bad thing. When he returns, WWE has a chance to reset and finally push him the way fans have been asking for. The talent is obvious, the confidence is there, and the crowd is ready.
The only question is whether WWE will finally go all in, or keep him stuck just beneath that top tier.

Fallon Henley
Fallon Henley might be the sleeper pick to watch over the next few months. Following WrestleMania, Fatal Influence was officially brought up to SmackDown.
It seems like Jacy Jayne is being positioned in the lead role of the group. But, Henley has been quietly building momentum in the background and that’s often how breakouts happen.
Fallon has clearly improved and advanced in her NXT career. However, she still plays a “background role” behind Jacy in the group.
And that’s okay. In that role, there’s less pressure, fewer expectations, and more room to grow naturally. In Henley’s case, both her in-ring work and character presence have been steadily improving.
If WWE ever shifts even a bit of focus onto her, or if she finds herself in a key match or storyline, she could very easily emerge as the true standout of the group.
Sometimes the breakout star isn’t the obvious one at first. Henley feels like she could prove that. I could very easily see her holding gold before the year ends, whether that be tag team or singles.

Rey Fenix
Rey Fenix feels like a breakout waiting to happen. And it feels like it’s been that way his entire career, no matter which promotion he’s at.
Currently, Fenix is getting some time in down at AAA. But on SmackDown, the opportunities haven’t quite been there yet.
Despite that, Fenix has made it clear, especially on social media, that he’s ready for more. He even teased a potential Intercontinental Championship opportunity against his brother, Penta.
This just goes to show that Fenix is chomping at the bit for a real opportunity. If WWE gives it to him, there’s little doubt he’d deliver.
And if his brother has already proven what’s possible on a bigger stage, Fenix could very easily follow in those footprints and maybe even surpass it.
I truly believe that if WWE gave the time to Rey Fenix like they have with Penta, they’d have two major stars on their hands. And if we’re lucky, maybe WWE finally pulls the trigger on the two getting back together and taking over the tag team division.
Carmelo Hayes is waiting on his moment, Fallon Henley is quietly building momentum and Rey Fenix is ready to explode the second he gets his shot.
If WWE gets the timing right, all three could look very different by the end of 2026.
