3 Bold WrestleMania 42 Predictions That Could Change WWE
WWE is on a fast moving road to WrestleMania 42, which is set for Saturday, April 18, and Sunday, April 19, at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada. While not every match has been announced for the event so far, we have a good bit of big matches that are already official.
It’s no secret that WWE sees WrestleMania as their “Grandest Show Of Them All” and they love to capture the headlines come Sunday and Monday morning. So, let’s take a look at some bold predictions for WrestleMania 42 that would undoubtedly do just that:
Oba Femi Squashes Brock Lesnar
One of the literal biggest matches on the card was made official this past Monday on WWE Raw, when Oba Femi accepted the open challenge from Brock Lesnar and laid him out with his signature Fall From Grace power-bomb. The prospect of this match already had fans foaming at the mouth. Now that it’s official, the excitement is through the roof.
But, what would amp this match up even more? If Oba Femi squashed Brock Lesnar.
Hear me out. We can all see that Brock Lesnar isn’t one for long matches, especially now at his older age. He’s looking to get in there, put on a show, and leave. So, how can WWE use Brock in a quick, but effective fashion? Have him put over Oba Femi in a squash match.
Back at WrestleMania 33, Brock Lesnar defeated Goldberg in a sprint that lasted 4:45. But, the crowd was on their feet the entire time from the opening bell. This is exactly the type of match Brock and Oba could be.
And, with Oba winning, this would only further his career, skyrocketing him into an orbit of stardom such as Brock himself. It’s very clear that WWE is high on Femi, making sure he dominates and wins every match he’s had on the main roster so far. So, making sure he keeps that streak and dominates a beast like Brock Lesnar, will only solidify Oba Femi has a top star.
Oba Femi squashing Brock Lesnar, that’s a bold prediction!
Danhausen Wrestles His Debut Match
Danhausen made his WWE debut at the 2026 Elimination Chamber back on February 28. When he made his first WWE appearance, it was lackluster to say the least. But, Danhausen (and WWE) didn’t let that phase him, and the crowd has started to turn around for him.
Weekly, Danhausen is on Raw and SmackDown, usually in backstage segments. He’s been causing chaos and getting on the nerves of WWE superstars with his curses, which actually seem to be working. Just ask Dominik Mysterio.
But, thus far, Danhausen has not wrestled an actual match, and hasn’t had an official match announced, as of now. But, this bold prediction sees WWE saving his first match for the big stage at WrestleMania!
There have been a couple stars that have had their debuts at WrestleMania, including Fandango, who made his in-ring debut at WrestleMania 29. He defeated Chris Jericho after months of vignettes and ball-room dancing build up. This had the fans “Fandango-ing” in the crowd, which became a viral sensation at that time. This is sort of reminiscent to the character work Danhausen has right now, with fans really getting behind him with the “You.. Are.. Cursed!” chants.
So, surely, a Danhausen WrestleMania debut, even if it’s a quick, small match, could see an entire WrestleMania crowd chant along with him. That would create a viral moment that WWE is always chasing.
Last year, we had the WrestleMania debut of Joe Hendry. This year, I boldly predict that we will see the in-ring debut of Danhausen!
Every Major Title Changes
Can you get more bold than changing the current WWE landscape entirely? As of now, while we don’t have many matches announced for WrestleMania, we do have the big four title matches announced.
Cody Rhodes will defend his WWE Championship against Randy Orton. CM Punk will defend the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Roman Reigns. On the women’s side, Stephanie Vaquer is set to defend her Women’s World Championship against Liv Morgan. And Jade Cargill will defend her WWE Women’s Championship against Rhea Ripley.
Each of those four matches have been made official, and the builds have begun. For the fans, it’s always fun to predict who will walk out of WrestleMania as a champion, and who will not. But, what if every major title changed?
Women’s World Championship
On the women’s side, Liv Morgan has won the Royal Rumble and selected Stephanie Vaquer to go after. In recent months, The Judgment Day hasn’t had the best of luck. Dominik Mysterio lost his Intercontinental Championship, Finn Balor was kicked out, Raquel lost her opportunities to challenge for two different titles, and the group seems to be in a slump.
But, Liv can turn things around for her faction and bring a world title back to the group. A Liv Morgan win at WrestleMania would have many fans happy. And even though Stephanie is another fan-favorite, she will be over 200 days as champion come WrestleMania. So, it wouldn’t be a huge loss in the fans eyes, to see her lose after such a lengthy reign.
WWE Women’s Championship
On the SmackDown side, Rhea Ripley won the Elimination Chamber to get the opportunity to challenge for Jade Cargill’s title. And Rhea Ripley victory at WrestleMania seems to be a welcomed result. Jade’s title reign hasn’t gone over well with the fans. Mostly because she just held the title and hasn’t actually defended it as much as many would’ve liked to see.
Plus, Rhea has been in the tag team title division with IYO SKY. Even though we all love RHIYO, it’s about time Ripley, who’s arguably the biggest female star WWE has, gets a singles world title again. Plus, winning the title would most likely make her a SmackDown roster member. That would allow her to have fresh matchups after being on the Raw brand for so long.
World Heavyweight Championship
When it comes to the men’s World Heavyweight Championship, this may be a little controversial. Are some fans tired of seeing Roman Reigns, who’s basically a part-timer at this point, as champion? Yes. But, is he the biggest star WWE has at the moment? Undoubtably.
Roman has also never won the belt, and him winning that would add another notch onto his belt of accolades, further making him one of the greatest, statistically speaking. As for CM Punk, almost everyone loves him. But, I believe it’s fair to say he’s more interesting when he’s chasing the title at this stage of his career.
We all love to cheer for the underdog. But in this current situation, the champion is the underdog, as Roman Reigns is the favorite heading into their clash. So, Roman winning the title back, would bring another interesting plot point to CM Punk, as he chases Roman to get the belt back.
Reigns on the other hand, similar to Rhea going to SmackDown, would bring him to Raw and give us some interesting matchups for him on that brand. Roman vs. Gunther, Rollins, Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed? Sign me up!
Undisputed WWE Championship
Lastly, Randy Orton is coming for Cody Rhodes’ WWE Championship and it’s about time we give ‘The Viper’ one more run with the belt. John Cena is already the ‘Never Seen 17’, as he’s the first to hold 17 world titles in WWE. But, Randy Orton is not far behind.
Will he ever catch up to Cena? Maybe not. But, a win here would have him pass the 14 title reigns of Triple H, putting Orton in a legendary class, if he wasn’t there already. Plus, with all the time and effort Orton has given to WWE, he simply just deserves it.
Not to mention, one more last run as a heel WWE champion would feed the souls of the nostalgia lovers from the 2009 era. Following this past weeks SmackDown, Randy Orton really flipped this entire WrestleMania build onto its head, when he turned on Cody Rhodes and bloodied him up. This is something we rarely see in this era of WWE.
This instantly made Randy more interesting than he’s been in the past few years. If he keeps this energy up, this demonized version of Orton could be money as champion on weekly television.
So, for this final bold prediction, every major world championship changes hands at WrestleMania!
WrestleMania 42 could be a massive show, and there’s a good chance some of these bold predictions come true! Do you have any of your own? Let us know!
