Read Time:6 Minute, 59 Second

The world of professional wrestling is about to welcome a new era of talent with WWE’s newest show, WWE LFG, premiering on A&E. This groundbreaking series provides an inside look at what it truly takes to make it in WWE. It also features legendary mentors guiding the next generation of superstars vying for a WWE NXT contract.

Helmed by WWE executives and Hall of Famers Paul “Triple H” Levesque and Shawn Michaels, LFG boasts a stacked coaching lineup. It includes The Undertaker, Booker T, Mickie James, and Bubba Ray Dudley. Each week, these industry veterans will mentor a group of aspiring wrestlers. They will offer invaluable guidance on both in-ring performance and the all-important mic skills. With their wealth of experience, they will shape the future of WWE one match at a time.

Season 1, Episode 4: ‘Faction Frenzy’

The fourth episode, Faction Frenzy, aired on March 9, 2025, at 8:00PM ET on A&E. The episode kicks off with Shiloh Hill checking in with The Undertaker after he was knocked out last week. He has officially been cleared to return. Shawn Michaels then makes his return to announce this week’s challenge, focused on faction creation. He introduces Eric Bischoff, the mastermind behind the N.W.O., and Sean Waltman, a key member of several legendary factions. Each team must create a faction that highlights their strengths and complements one another. They will then compete in 8-person tag matches.

New to Team Bubba, Cutler James is eager to learn. However, Bubba feels he lacks personality and wants to see more from him. They introduce his video package, where he takes the lead in uniting the team as a misfit family. Embracing the concept, they become a modern-day version of the Dudleys—despite it not being Cutler’s natural style. The team films a hilarious vignette, blending the Dudley persona with their own unique identities.

Meanwhile, Team Booker looks toward the future. Anthony Luke unveils TNE: The Next Era, a faction positioned as WWE’s new trendsetters. Dressed in all black, they exude a heelish presence.

The episode then cuts to BJ Ray checking in with WWE medical staff, where surgery remains a possibility. Back at ringside, tensions rise as the coaches argue—sparked by Jasper Troy’s reluctance to lose to Zena Sterling. This moment becomes a lesson in speaking up and advocating for yourself when you disagree. They also learn how quick things can change on the fly.

Next, we had Team Booker facing off against Team Bubba Ray. During the match, Eric was particularly intrigued by Zena Sterling. BJ Ray then tries to sit near the Legends, but Bubba Ray pushes him away and tells him to leave. Ray laughs it off in the confessional, but it seemed like he was ready to throw down.

Team Mickie brings their vision to life with P.O.P.—Pinnacle of Performance. Meanwhile, Team Undertaker becomes S.O.S.—Slayers of Souls. Bayley fully embraces her love for the dead, looking absolutely jacked. Shiloh leans into a toothless, eerie persona. Tyra Mae Steele remains herself but adopts a darker edge. Elijah Holyfield, a freak of nature, rounds out the group. Each member maintains a distinct identity while forming a cohesive unit. P.O.P. also presents a unified front, looking polished and well-coordinated.

Chris Island is eager for a rematch with Shiloh, determined to correct last week’s misstep. We see video packages for Sirena Linton and Bayley Humphrey, exploring their backgrounds. As the groups work together, it’s clear that Mickie and Undertaker work much better together, compared to Bubba and Booker. They then have their match.

As usual, the Legends gather after the match to discuss the standout performers. They offer glowing feedback for everyone before awarding points. Eric Bischoff granted a point for the best presentation, while X-Pac rewarded in-ring performance. Eric gave his point to Team Undertaker, while X-Pac awarded his to The Next Era, Team Booker.

Shawn closes the episode with a surprise announcement for the Future Greats—next week, CM Punk will be joining them.

The point breakdown is now as follows:

  • Team Booker: 3 Points
  • Team Mickie: 2 Points
  • Team Undertaker: 1 Point
  • Team Bubba Ray: 0 Points

The Matches on Episode 4

Team Booker vs. Team Bubba Ray

The Legends introduce their teams as they make dramatic entrances. Team Booker’s TNE looks strikingly similar to The Matrix, and their theme song is a perfect match. As for the Dudley faction, their entrance fits exactly with their persona. Sean Waltman and Eric Bischoff love it, with Sean saying, ‘That was f**king great.’

Zena Sterling and Leigh Laurel start the match, both showing tremendous improvement since their first bouts on LFG. Tatyanna Dumas soon joins the fray, until Penina Tuilaepa is tagged in and takes control. The guys then step in after Anthony Luke tags himself.

Cutler James, tagged in a bit too quickly, enters the match to help even things out. While much of the action happens off-screen due to the BJ drama ringside, Drake Morreaux makes a standout entrance, pointing at Jasper Troy, which prompts Anthony to gladly tag him in. Drake looks impressive, blending his old and new personas seamlessly.

Anthony and Jasper worked well together, showing great cohesion throughout the match. The turning point comes when Cutler gets the hot tag. He brought the energy, finishing the match with a Samoan Drop on Jasper Troy for the win.

Team Undertaker vs. Team Mickie

Bayley Humphrey, Elijah Holyfield, and Sirena Linton all had their first matches. First out were Team Mickie’s P.O.P., the babyfaces, who carried themselves like gladiators. But Team Undertaker stole the show. Their video package was hands down the best, with Eric noting that they didn’t need to explain who they were—they showed it. Their entrance was flawless. Elijah looked right at home, and Shiloh fit the group perfectly. Each member felt like a crucial puzzle piece in a well-constructed team.

The match began with Bayley and Sirena squaring off. They did well, though both clearly need more polish as newcomers to the WWE PC. However, Undertaker sees a diamond in the rough with Bayley. Sirena then tagged in Dani Sekelsky, who has been excelling every week. Soon, Tyra Mae Steele entered the match, setting up a rematch from their clash in the first episode. Both showed significant improvement.

The men entered the fray after Holyfield was tagged in, locking up with Chris Island. Despite being his first match, Elijah looked like a natural. Troy Yearwood and Shiloh then got their turns, delivering solid exchanges before Chris tagged back in. The long-awaited rematch between Chris and Shiloh reignited their unfinished business from last week.

Team Undertaker displayed the most cohesion, working together seamlessly and taking advantage whenever the referee was distracted. Elijah and Shiloh tagged in and out, relentlessly beating down Chris. Eventually, Chris managed to tag in Yearwood. The match’s final moments saw the women taking each other out, while Holyfield broke up a pin attempt. In the end, Yearwood landed his finisher on Shiloh, securing the victory.
