Usyk vs. Fury 2: Main Card Predictions
The time has come. A boxing rematch at the highest skill level of the sport. Undisputed heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk. The former baddest man on the planet, Tyson Fury. A battle to determine once again who the best heavyweight is.
Fury comes in motivated to right a wrong, as Usyk handed him his only loss. He remains adamant that Usyk only won the decision because his country is at war. Come this Saturday in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, live in the Kingdom Arena, Fury gets his chance to prove himself right. Usyk, who feels confident he won the fight, looks to prove his win was no fluke. With legacy at stake, he is more motivated to uplift his fellow soldiers in Ukraine. Though if he wins, he will make a strong argument as to why he is the pound-for-pound king of boxing.
All eyes will be on the main event, but there’s plenty of talent the Queensbury Promotions looks to showcase on their main card. Below are predictions for how the card will play out. You’ll see breakdowns of every fight on the main card and the latest betting odds included.

Andrii Novytskyi vs. Edgar Ramirez (Heavyweight, WBC International Heavyweight Title)
The card kicks off with a title fight that pins undefeated 29-year-old Ukrainian, Andrii Novytskyi (13-0), against 29-year-old Edgar Ramirez (10-1). Whoever wins will lay claim to the WBC International Heavyweight Championship.
The Ukranian will make his walk to the ring as a -2000 favorite. Ramirez, who averages about one or two fights per year, will look to upset Novytskyi’s championship plans. However, Novytskyi has only been a pro for less than two years and already has competed 13 times, with 10 KOs. Though Ramirez has good experience in the division, it’s clear that Novytskyi is highly skilled, and has remained more active. There’s a reason that Novytskyi is a heavy favorite in this one, and that’s why I’m picking him to win. If you’re looking for a prop bet, I believe this one doesn’t get past 4 of the scheduled 10 rounds.
Prediction: Andrii Novytskyi via 3rd-Round KO/TKO

Daniel Lapin vs. Dylan Colin (Light Heavyweight)
Daniel Lapin (10-0) is 6’6″ and decided to stay busy this year with another bout. This time, against a former champion Dylan Colin (14-0). Colin, however, will give up a 5-inch height disadvantage against the Ukranian. Lapin will also be coming in as a -1000 favorite, riding back to back KO wins. Unlike in the main event, I feel size will be the determining factor in this contest. Lupin will ultimately get his hand raised…
Prediction: Daniel Lupin via Decision

Isaac Lowe vs. Lee McGregor (Super Bantamweight)
27-year-old former champion, Lee McGregor, and Isaac Lowe will surely be an entertaining matchup. Currently, the odds are set in McGregor’s favor at -190. However, I feel the underdog at +150 in Lower serves to be the better bet. It is very possible that McGregor extends his finishing streak to 3. However, I feel the experience of Lowe will be what gets the victory.
Prediction: Isaac Lowe via Decision

Peter McGrail vs. Rhys Edwards (Super Featherweight)
Undefeated 24-year-old Rhys Edwards looks to add to his unbeaten streak against the 28-year-old veteran in Peter McGrail. This will be McGrail’s third bout in 2024, and will enter as a -475 favorite to win. However, I feel the underdog at +350 has a great chance to come home with a victory. Edwards will be serving as a late replacement for the bout against McGrail, who was initially slated to face Dennis McCann. McCann had to drop out due to testing positive for banned substances.
McGrail has the skills, but I love an underdog story. Coming in on a few days notice, to fight on one of the most important cards of the year. Edwards will also be risking his undefeated pro record, but that does not matter. He steps up here, and takes a big opportunity. Smart money says McGrail will be walking away with an easy later round finish. But, I’m predicting Edwards will beat the odds, and shock the boxing world.
Prediction: Rhys Edwards via Decision

Johnny Fisher vs. Dave Allen (Heavyweight)
Two British heavyweights will clash late in the main card. Undefeated 25 year old, Johnny “Romford Bull” Fisher (12-0), will take on 32-year-old “White Rhino” Dave Allen (23-6). Fisher walks in the heavy favorite at -1100, with the veteran Allen at +650. Allen is riding a 2 fight win streak, with 18 of his 23 wins coming by way of KO.
On the contrary, Fisher comes in with 11 of his 12 wins coming by way of KO, and having finished his last 7 opponents. Fisher is riding a lot of momentum, and is beginning to make a name for himself in the division. I’m predicting fisher will add to his KO streak, and will deliver a spectacular performance.
Prediction: Johnny Fisher via 2nd-Round KO/TKO

Serhii Bohachuk vs. Ishmael Davis (Light Middleweight)
Fellow Ukranian, and former WBC Interim Super Welterweight Champion, Serhii Bohachuk (24-2), takes on Ishmael Davis (13-1) in a fun light middleweight match-up. The bout slated to go 12 rounds as a co-main event.
Davis is coming into this fight off of a loss to former WBO International Super Welterweight Champion, Josh Kelly (16-1). Bohachuk is also coming off of a loss to the current WBC Interim Super Welterweight Champion Vergil Ortiz Jr (22-0). Both fighter’s will be eager to get a win back on the records, which makes this an exciting match-up.
The odds are currently in Bohachuk’s favor at -900 to Davis’ +600. I feel Bohachuk has fought the better opponents, given he is coming off of a good fight against an undefeated prospect in Ortiz. He even managed to knock down the current champion twice in their bout. Bohachuk should win this fight before the 5th round, as most of his fights don’t last very long.
Prediction: Serhii Bohachuk via 3rd-Round KO/TKO

Moses Itauma vs. Demsey McKean (Heavyweight)
Right before Usyk and Fury take stage, we get to see another British heavyweight prospect attempt to make a name for himself. “The Machine” comes in a +850 underdog as the former IBF Inter-Continental Heavyweight Champion. Moses Itauma enters this bout as the -1600 favorite having finished his last 6 opponents, all in 2 rounds or less. Itauma holds 8 of his 10 wins by KO, in comparison to McKean’s 14 KOs of 22 wins. Though Demsey McKean certainly has the experience advantage, Itauma is recognized has a prospect to keep your eye on. Itauma is coming in with heavy momentum, and it is unlikely McKean will be able to do anything about that.
Prediction: Moses Itauma via 1st-Round KO/TKO

Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk (Heavyweight; IBO, WBC, WBO Heavyweight Championships)
This is a clash between two generation heavyweight talents. Oleksandr Usyk (22-0) comes in with his perfect record in tact. He now stands as the undisputed king of the division, with Tyson Fury (34-1-1) in the hunt.
We all know the epic history between these two. Tyson, and his epic battles with Deontay Wilder, cementing him as the heavyweight king. Usyk, with his rise to the top of two divisions, his battles with Joshua, and win over Fury. Tyson is coming in at a 6-inch height advantage, so Usyk needs to get inside, and use his footwork to attack. Usyk has shown that he is the perfect match for Fury… In their last contest, he was able to get inside of Fury’s range, and claim victory that night.
With these two high-level talents, the fight can honestly go either way. Both fighters are up there in age, with Usyk at 37 and Fury at 35. Usyk, however, has shown no signs of slowing down. On the contrary, Fury is said to have looked off in his last two contests against Ngannou and Fury. To get inside Fury’s range, you need skill, and speed. Usyk possesses both qualities, and we’ve seen he can hurt Fury. Given the styles, and Fury’s loss of momentum, Usyk will yet again walk away with another victory.
Prediction: Oleksandr Usyk via Decision
