Card Preview & Predictions for AEW Full Gear 2025
AEW Full Gear 2025 is shaping up to be a must-watch event. Below, we break down each matchup, provide our predictions, and highlight the key storylines ahead of the big night:

AEW Women’s World Championship: Kris Statlander (c) vs. Mercedes Moné
This match should be an absolute banger, but it has me torn. On one hand, Kris Statlander did what only a few have managed to do and beat Toni Storm for the AEW Women’s World Championship. It was unexpected, but fitting for one of AEW’s cornerstones in the women’s division, finally capturing the title she’s long deserved.
On the other hand, Mercedes Moné just broke Ultimo Dragon’s record, and this is the one belt she’s been chasing harder than any other. It feels like it might finally be her time.
That said, with Kris only recently winning the championship, I’m not sure AEW pulls the trigger just yet. Part of me feels she was crowned to eventually drop it to Mercedes, but right now I’m 50/50. Still, I can never bet against Mercedes, so I’m picking her to finally win the AEW Women’s World Championship.

AEW World Championship: ‘Hangman’ Adam Page (c) vs. Samoa Joe
I’m not even going to sit here and like, writing paragraphs on why it could either way because this one’s pretty simple. Adam Page isn’t losing that belt anytime soon, and he’s definitely not dropping it to Samoa Joe. So if Tony Khan is smart, this match won’t be the main event of the night. It’s just not necessary.
